Find your voice and speak out! A young singer finds his voice and speaks out to protect his partner and reinforce their partnership.
This video of a young singing duo auditioning for the 2012 Britain’s Got Talent Show demonstrates that everyone can find their voice and make their contribution to the world.
Jonathan suffered much bullying about his size and felt that he had nothing to give but with the support and encouragement of his friend Charlotte they enter the competition. Charlotte speaks for them both at the start. Then they sing….
Wow! Were you expecting THAT? What a voice?
Jonathan starts to sing and everyone is dumbstruck. Everyone is listening. Jonathan has found his voice. Jonathan has something to say!
Did you notice that after singing and Simon Cowell suggests that Jonathan should ‘dump’ Charlotte, Jonathan speaks out. Jonathan and Charlotte have entered as a duo and that is how it will stay. Simon is put in his place!
Before singing, Jonathan didn’t have anything to say. Not even when directly challenged. Now that he knows people are listening to him, he says what he thinks.
There’s a lesson for us all here. We all have something to say. We all have unique experiences that others are wanting to hear. It’s important that you find your voice.
You may be struggling with self-belief that you have the expertise to establish an on-line business niche. You could be telling yourself that you have nothing to give. Nothing to share.
This simply is not right!
Do people keep asking you, ‘How do you do that?’ Are friends continually asking you to help in a particular way? That’s your area you have something to say in!
Perhaps you really cannot pin point a particular niche then is there a specialism that fascinates you. That gives you the yearning to discover more. That you would like to study. Indeed to become an expert! It won’t happen overnight, but it could develop and will, with encouragement, commitment and focus.
You need a friend to come alongside and encourage you. A friend to be with you as you present to the world. A friend to help you find your voice.
I used to be in this position but now I’m part of a strong team of many people who encourage me to speak out and build my business on the expertise I have and am developing. We never stop learning. The teacher must first be the student.
I recommend you reading the book ‘The Millionaire Messenger’ by Brendon Burchard. You’ll find it in my book shop. He explains how we can build a business sharing our unique knowledge and expertise. Read it then I invite you to contact me and let me know how you are going to move forward.
I will be there for you. We are waiting for you to find your voice.
